The official directive serves as a final warning to telecom companies, internet service providers, cable TV operators, and water supply agencies to clean up their utility lines or face strict penalties.
This notification reinforces an earlier order, numbered Order No. DCK/REV/MISC-14/ 2025/402 B and issued on November 21, 2025, which instructed agencies to remove unused overhead cables and pipes and to bundle, sleeve, and securely fasten active overhead lines according to approved technical standards.
The administration stated that these measures are vital for maintaining public safety, improving the city's aesthetics, and ensuring orderly urban infrastructure.
The District Magistrate warned that no further warnings will be given, and any non-compliant cables or pipes will be dismantled and removed by the competent authority, with the entire cost of the removal operation recovered directly from the defaulting companies or agencies.
