According to the TSMCC Chairman, there are shortcomings in the reconstruction work of Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan. He stated that a full investigation into the construction work is necessary to find out how this building, constructed at the cost of many crores of rupees, is getting ruined so quickly.
The press release stated that the Public Works Department and the Information and Cultural Affairs Department do not have the completion certificate for the reconstruction of Rabindra Bhavan by NBCC issued on May 9, 2014. The Chairman also stated that no plan for this construction work was found with the Agartala Municipal Corporation.
The Chairman further stated that auditorium number 2 of Rabindra Bhavan has not been usable for quite some days. It is impossible to use it for various purposes without renovation.
