The contingent consisted of 68 athletes and 12 officials, led by Smt Mamita Gurung, who serves as the Deputy Director and Head of Office.
The district's participants competed across multiple disciplines, including athletics, boxing, karate, and kho-kho, securing numerous medals.
Gold medals in athletics were won by Cainan L. Lepcha in the boys 100m and Isha Rai in the girls 400m. Additional gold medals were earned in boys boxing by Dipesh Rai, in boys karate by Phungnam Subba, Aditya Gurung, and Siresh Subba, and by the GSSS Sombaria boys team in kho-kho.
Silver and bronze medals were also secured across various categories, including shot put, relays, long jump, 800m events, and girls boxing and kho-kho.
