The ceremony was organised with the objective of recognising and encouraging the initiatives taken by various clubs during the Sharadotsav celebrations, including their social activities, creative initiatives and cultural contributions. Representatives of several clubs from different districts and parts of the state attended the programme. The organisers presented awards and certificates of recognition to acknowledge their efforts in making the festive season more vibrant and meaningful. One of the notable highlights of the programme was the felicitation of talented participants who performed dance and recitation. The initiative was taken by the West District Women's Cell of the Tripura Working Journalists Association. Their cultural performances added a special dimension to the event. The participants were awarded for their performances as a gesture of encouragement towards cultural practices and emerging talent. Among those present at the occasion were Tripura Working Journalists Association President Bijay Pal, Secretary Sunil Debnath, West Tripura District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar, Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu, Director of the Department of Information and Cultural Affairs Bimbisar Bhattacharya, Tripura Gramin Bank Chairman Satyendra Singh and National Award-winning personality Tarubala Debbarma, along with other distinguished guests. Representatives of various clubs, cultural personalities and invited guests from different parts of the state also attended the programme. Through Sharad Samman 2026, the Tripura Working Journalists Association made an effort to recognise the contributions of Durga Puja organisers while also encouraging emerging talents in fields such as dance, recitation and other cultural activities. The organisers believe that such initiatives will not only strengthen the state's rich cultural heritage but also promote mutual understanding, social harmony and cooperation among different communities through cultural engagement.
