Agartala, Nov 5: With the November 27 municipal elections approaching, the Tripura BJP held an organisational meeting with its newly selected candidates at the party's state headquarters in Krishnanagar, Agartala, on Thursday. Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, state BJP president and Abhishek Debroy attended the meeting along with candidates nominated for the Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) elections. The meeting was held ahead of the filing of nomination papers to discuss election preparations and the party's campaign strategy. Speaking to the media, Saha said the main objective was to secure a strong victory by reaching out to voters and highlighting the development works undertaken by the state government. He said the party would explain its achievements to the people and outline its plans for further development. Commenting on the opposition's political developments and reported differences within the INDIA bloc, Saha said the BJP would focus on its own campaign rather than comment on the opposition. On Pinaki Chakraborty, the BJP candidate from Ward No. 16, Saha said the party's ideology was rooted in the principles of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya's Integral Humanism. He said anyone willing to follow these principles was welcome.
