According to Gomati Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Debal Debray, a large number of pilgrims are expected to gather at the fair, similar to previous years. He stated that past records for public gathering are likely to be broken. All steps are being taken to complete the festival smoothly.
The Sabhadhipati announced that shop plots for participating businesspersons will be distributed through a lottery. Coupons for these plots will be distributed starting tomorrow, and an individual can take only one coupon. The number of shop plots has been increased to 1,000 this year, compared to 800 in the previous fair.
To enable people from all parts of the state to join the fair, an initiative has been taken to run special trains during that period. Additionally, the Department of Information and Cultural Affairs will organize cultural programs during the three-day event, as reported in the press conference.
