Speeding Auto-Rickshaw Hits Bicycle, 13-Year-Old Boy Seriously Injured

A 23-year-old youth, identified as Amarjit Debbarma, died after being hit by a Maruti Baleno car on the National Highway near the new petrol pump at Bishramganj on Tuesday evening. He was initially taken to Bishramganj Hospital and later referred to GBP Hospital in Agartala, where he succumbed to his injuries later that night. His untimely death has plunged his family and the entire locality into mourning.

Charilam, Nov 4: In a fatal road accident, Amarjit Debbarma (23) year-old of Pushkarbari area of Bishramganj lost his life after being hit by a private vehicle in Bishramganj on Wednesday evening. It was learned that the accident took place in front of the new petrol pump at Bishramganj, when he was returning home on his motorcycle.

Amarjit was reportedly hit by a Maruti Baleno car and sustained serious injuries. Following the accident, he was immediately rushed to Bishramganj Hospital for treatment. However, as his condition deteriorated, doctors referred him to GBP Hospital in Agartala for advanced medical care.

Unfortunately, Amarjit succumbed to his injuries later that night.

The sudden loss of the 23-year-old has left his family in deep shock. His mother, Kabita Debbarma, was inconsolable following the death of her son.

The incident once again raises concerns about road safety and reckless driving on National Highways.
