Khowai, October 26: Khowai District Police organised a ‘Run for Unity’ on October 26 to mark National Unity Day 2026, promoting patriotism, national integrity, brotherhood and communal harmony.

Superintendent of Police, Khowai, Bogati Jagadishwar Reddy, IPS, addressed the participants and emphasised the importance of unity, mutual respect and collective responsibility in safeguarding the nation’s integrity. He urged participants to uphold the spirit of national integration and contribute towards building a united and harmonious society.

The initiative highlighted the message of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’, reaffirming the importance of unity beyond differences of caste, language and social background. The programme was organised by Khowai District Police with the support of Tripura Police and the Khowai District Administration.
