Agartala, Oct 30: A police team led by Jatrapur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Parthanath Bhowmik conducted raids at the residences of the accused on the night of October 29. The team surrounded the houses and brought the accused to the police station in the early hours of the following morning.
The incident took place on the day of the ADC Village Council election results. After a gap of several days, police conducted another operation and detained four more accused persons.
The OC confirmed that a total of 11 accused persons have been detained in connection with the incident. He further stated that no one involved in the vandalism would be spared and that strict legal action would be taken against those responsible.
Police are treating the incident seriously and continuing their investigation to identify and apprehend the remaining accused persons.
