The surgery was conducted by Dr. Suprita Majumdar, an ear, nose, and throat specialist at the hospital, with assistance from nursing officer Nita Debnath.
According to the press release, the entire procedure was successfully carried out using local anesthesia.
The initiative by the doctors and health workers of the hospital is noted as a notable success in local health services, reducing the need for patients to travel to distant hospitals for advanced treatment of ear keloids and similar problems, thereby benefiting local residents.
